Where Can I get gear? 

Play it again sports has a limited selection of new and used hockey gear.

Sideline Swap (online) has a great selection of used gear. 

Pure Hockey and Ice Warehouse are two great online stores for purchasing brand-new gear. 

Where does my money go? 

There are two expenses when it comes to hockey: Ice Time and Refs. 

The league passes all costs along to the players without any markup. 

No-Contact

We are a no-contact league. This applies to all skill levels. However, hockey is a dangerous sport and sometimes we bounce off each other. Any intentional contact or targeting of a player will result in suspension without a refund. 

How do I complete SafeSport Training?

SafeSport training is free and can be completed at: https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining

How do I get a USA Hockey Registration Number? 

You can obtain your number at: https://membership.usahockey.com/register/age

How often do I have to renew with USA hockey?

Annually. A current USA Hockey membership is required by the rink

Can I bring alcohol into the locker room? 

No. The LaHaye Ice Rink does not allow any alcohol in the building. Many are familiar with beer leagues allowing alcohol in the locker room before and/or after the game, however, this league does not allow any alcohol in the rink. 

How long does it take to get a response? 

The Hill City Hockey Club is run by one person with a day job. I will do my best to reply within 48 hours. 

Full gear?

Full gear is required to play. The only items that are left up to the player are mouth guards and face shields. While we highly recommend having them both, they are not required.
